STS control and power source transfer electronics development

We develop STS control electronics, power-source monitoring and embedded software for customer power-management projects. Transfer decisions are assessed alongside load requirements, source conditions and the system's other protective devices.

Your project, your product

Developed confidentially and delivered with source files.

We may work with a confidentiality agreement (NDA) before sharing technical details. At the end of the project, we deliver the source codes, design files and technical documents we have developed to you.

VOMRO engineering approach

Source transfer is more than a single switching command.

In static transfer switch control, the acceptable state of each energy source and the transfer conditions of the load must be defined. Voltage, frequency, phase relationship and error information are the inputs of the decision mechanism. These limits are not chosen independently of the usage scenario.

Control electronics work with the power stage, measurement circuits, user interface and supervisory system. VOMRO clarifies the layers it will develop, interfaces and validation responsibilities at the outset.

01

Interpreting the power source status

Evaluation periods and thresholds for measured values are defined. Transient deviations are distinguished from persistent faults, with defined behaviour for interrupted or invalid measurements. A source becoming acceptable again is a separate state. Decision logic that prevents unnecessary transfers is structured for testing.

  • Power source and measurement states
  • Threshold, duration and event records
02

Transfer logic and interfaces

The preferred power source, automatic or user-commanded operation and actions permitted during faults are represented in a state machine. Command compatibility with the power stage, interlocks and feedback are examined together. The monitoring dashboard can explain why a transfer was rejected as well as report command results.

  • State machine and interlocks
  • Operator and supervisory system interface
03

Prototype and final device validation

There is no universal promise of interruption-free transfer; the target load's tolerance and system architecture govern. Mains electrical safety, isolation, thermal behaviour and protection coordination are assessed. A working control prototype does not mean the final STS has completed its required safety and conformity tests.

How it works

A clear process from start to delivery.

Not every project looks the same; however, the measurable requirement, controlled revision, and field verification steps remain unchanged.

  1. 01

    We define the conditions

We document the power sources, load tolerances and control limits.

  2. 02

    We design the control

We develop measurement, state machine and power stage interfaces.

  3. 03

    We try scenarios

We evaluate normal operation, loss of a power source and its restoration.

  4. 04

    We deliver the revision

We organise the source files, interface definitions and test findings together.

Frequently asked questions

Before starting the project

The technical scope, deliverables and test plan are clarified together according to the requirements of your project.

Can a control board alone be developed?

Yes. A separate development scope can be created by examining the technical information, signal levels and control requirements of the existing power stage.

Can remote condition monitoring be added?

Power source status and event logs can be sent to a supervisory system. Permissions and safety limits for remote commands are defined separately from the monitoring function.

Is the project handled confidentially, and are the source files delivered?

We can work with NDA. We deliver the source code, design and technical files of the project at the end of the project; We determine the scope and formats together at the beginning.

Can we work with NDA before sharing technical details?

Yes. We can complete the NDA arrangements together before you share your project's technical details.
