Production support for the projects we develop

Prototype PCB fabrication and assembly within your project

For customer projects developed by VOMRO, we carry out prototype fabrication, assembly and initial bring-up to turn the electronic design into a physical board. This service is not offered as standalone contract PCB fabrication or assembly.

Your project, your product

Developed confidentially and delivered with source files.

We may work with a confidentiality agreement (NDA) before sharing technical details. At the end of the project, we deliver the source codes, design files and technical documents we have developed to you.

  • NDA before sharing technical information
  • Clear deliverables agreed at the outset
  • Source and technical files at the end of the project

VOMRO engineering approach

The sample board is a verification step of the design.

Completing the circuit diagram and PCB layout does not yet validate the product. Components must be assembled correctly, supply rails checked, software loaded and the device tested with actual inputs and outputs. We treat prototype manufacturing as a development step that gives the design team feedback. Test findings become technical inputs for the next board revision.

This support is for customers developing an electronics or embedded system project with VOMRO. We do not accept standalone contract PCB fabrication, assembly or rapid PCB orders based solely on externally supplied production files. Prototype quantity, technical method and delivery planning depend on the purpose of the project we develop, the board's features and component availability.

01

Pre-production file and material control

Before prototyping, we check the PCB revision, fabrication data, bill of materials and placement information together. We identify component packages, pin orientation, alternative parts and areas requiring particular attention during assembly. Revision records help prevent confusion, such as identically named files belonging to different board versions.

When selecting the PCB manufacturing method, we assess the layer stack, trace and spacing requirements, holes, surface finish and test purpose. Rapid prototyping does not mean abandoning the board's manufacturing requirements. If the prototype method differs from final production, we consider which tests that difference may affect.

PCB assembly, programming and controlled bring-up

After the assembly of the sample board, visual control, short circuit inspection and evaluation of the supply lines are performed. The board is activated with controlled energization steps appropriate to its function. Instead of connecting all loads at the same time at the first start-up, gradual control of power, processor and communication blocks is preferred.

Embedded software is installed; Programming connection, clock sources, basic inputs and outputs and communication interfaces are tried. If there are analog measurement or power driving stages, evaluation with real sensors and loads is planned. Connection to mechanical parts and connector access are also controlled by the placement of the board within the product.

Converting test result to production revision

A prototype must do more than show that the circuit works. We record project-relevant findings such as measurement stability, temperature behaviour, cable connections and fault conditions. Where a change is needed, the problem, applied modification and proposed new design are documented together. Temporary prototype fixes are not silently transferred into production files.

The bill of materials and production deliverables are updated for the approved revision. When the production quantity increases, the programming method, function tests and assembly approach can be re-evaluated. Upon delivery of the sample board, it is announced according to the project scope which verifications have been completed and which will continue at the product level.

How it works

A clear process from start to delivery.

Not every project looks the same; however, the measurable requirement, controlled revision, and field verification steps remain unchanged.

  1. 01

    We determine the scope

We define the number of samples, board features and test targets of the project we develop.

  2. 02

    We check the files

We verify that PCB, BOM and assembly data are from the same revision.

  3. 03

    We bring up the board

We carry out the assembly, software installation and controlled initial start-up steps.

  4. 04

    We process the findings

We feed test results back into design and production files.

Frequently asked questions

Before starting the project

The technical scope, deliverables and test plan are clarified together according to the requirements of your project.

Can I send my existing PCB files for manufacturing or assembly only?

No. Sample PCB production and electronic component assembly support is provided only as part of customer projects developed by VOMRO. Independent contract manufacturing and electronic component assembly requests are not within the scope of this service.

Is there a fixed lead time for rapid prototypes?

The schedule depends on the board's layer structure, component availability and the scope of assembly and testing. No firm lead time is promised before the technical data and project plan have been reviewed.

Is transition to production supported after sampling?

Revision, production files, programming and testing approach can be prepared according to the scope of the project we develop. The transition to production is also planned based on quantity, supply and verification needs.

Do you deliver source codes and technical files at the end of the project?

Yes. We deliver the source codes, design files and technical documents we developed within the scope of the project to you at the end of the project. The delivery list and file formats are clarified at the beginning.
